amazing coves, bays and stretches of beach where finding that particular place
for your beach wedding would be a hard decision in itself!

Below is a list of possible places
where you can hold your engagement (party), ceremony, religious wedding and/or
reception or an important anniversary or vow renewal. I hope it gives you some
ideas to think about.
So, for
example, you may choose to stagger your wedding, having your civil ceremony on
the beach, or in front of a local chapel. Afterwards you can have a more
religious service at a chosen location where you can celebrate with the
backdrop of your choice. As ever, there is a wide range of choices to choose
from and we are happy to listen to what you want and to tailor your package

Wedding Locations
Beach Weddings, If you choose to have your civil and/or
religious ceremony on a local beach, which is always fun, and full of opportunities to dance on
the beach afterwards! We have some amazing beaches here on
Crete, e.g., Elafonissi, Matala,
one of those iconic picture postcards that once seen can never be forgotten; an
easy drive from Heraklion airport. There beautiful are beaches everywhere, the
list is endless here
on Crete and your greatest difficulty will be choosing which one you like the
most.
Yacht Weddings, if you want to make your neighbors green with envy, then
why not have your wedding on a yacht! We can film everything to drive everyone
around you crazy as well as giving you something unusual and impressive to
remember too! In fact, Elounda, is
the perfect film location for any wedding and has iconic panoramic views that
make people come to Crete on holiday. 
Historic weddings, If you like the idea of wondering through historic streets
full of atmosphere and to imagine Crete during her Venetian days then why not
choose to hold your service in Chania
or Rethimno which are arguably the
most beautiful cities on Crete. If you want to dress up as a medieval knight
marrying his lady then why not get married at Aptera (Chania) an old Venetian watchtower fort overlooking Chania
Bay.
Beautiful
scenic view weddings, If you want to have a real breath
of fresh air away from big city stress, then why not learn from Crete how to
really enjoy life, nature and healthy food. Have your wedding ceremony
surrounded by nature in the heart of the Cretan countryside surrounded by mountains
with breathtaking views. Or you may choose to have Ancient Greece bear witness
to your nuptials by getting married at Phaestos,
an Ancient Minoan and Roman city in Southern Crete overlooking green valleys. 
A Traditional Cretan Wedding, would be the most logical choice for coming here to Crete to
be married. Here, with the traditional wedding ceremony there are also the
traditional celebrations with a variety of food, local music and the exotic
Cretan lifestyle symbolized by their traditional Cretan clothes. The memory of
this day is bound to last with for forever! 
An African
style Wedding, do you remember the film ‘White Massi’? Well, why not
re-create your own atmosphere for your wedding ceremony in the evening on the
beach at Matala under the stars with
a musical atmosphere near to the sea, with African style music and lit torches. 
Lake
Weddings, are there for those who want a
classical natural setting. You can choose between Crete’s two very beautiful
lakes of Zaros or Kournas. Both of which offer fabulous
locations for your wedding and also have tavernas next to them where you can
have your reception! 
Religious Weddings
Anglican
Weddings, It is relatively easy to have an
Anglican marriage on Crete regardless of the fact that you may be ‘High or Low
Church’ and we would be happy to arrange things for you in consultation with
the Anglican priest and yourselves. Chania city is the primary location of the
Anglican Church on Crete, although the priest is happy to travel to you. So,
choose your most romantic setting for a private ceremony, from your hotel,
villa or chapel and we can set it up! 
Protestant Weddings:
If you wish to be married here do not be put off by the fact that this is an
Orthodox country. You can integrate your service with a location and there are lots of fabulous locations
to choose from so all you have to do is decide where the pastor has to travel
to for your ceremony. 
Engagement,
Anniversary & Vow Renewals, If you wish to propose to the love of your life and require somewhere romantic to pop the not so unexpected question why not on thaw beach at Bali or the beach at Matala, or beside a lake, a castle, or at a place of your choosing! If you would like to surprise your wife perhaps, as John well knows, it's good to say you’re sorry through a surprise, like celebrating your anniversary with a surprise reception! It does work! Or perhaps you would both like to reaffirm your vows to remember in front of friends and family who were not present the first time. As ever, the romantic setting is yours to
choose!
Hotel
weddings, it is possible in some hotels
around the island to hold the wedding inside the hotel facilities, we will be
happy to offer suggestions.
Private
villa: If you feel that you would like to settle back in
your own private villa then we can accommodate you. Near to Matala, there are some private villas
where we can arrange for you to have your civil ceremony, religious service and
reception all to the accompaniment of Cretan musicians and Cretan dancers all
to the swish and swirl of your own private firework display. Of course you my
feel that you would prefer to celebrate in a traditional tavern. Whatever you
like, we can find the balance that is right for you!
